Donald Trump’s nerve was burned – This picture says it all
Donald Trump’s administration does not tolerate transgender people competing in women’s events.
AB Hernandez, 16, has sparked a huge fan following in the United States after his participation and success in the California high school track and field championships.
The transgender Hernandez won the high jump and triple jump in the competition. He received silver in the long jump.
According to an executive order signed by Donald Trump earlier this year, Hernandez should not have been allowed to compete because he was not assigned the same gender as he was at birth. The US Department of Justice has said it is investigating whether California violated the law by allowing a transgender person to compete.
Without mentioning Hernandez by name, Trump wrote in an update on Truth Social last week that California could be denied federal funding for violating the regulation.
Hernandes’ participation was met with heated debate in conservative circles before and after the event in Fresno County, with slogans chanted against him inside and outside the stadium.
The award ceremonies were also disrupted by shouting, but those who were successful in the same competitions considered Hernandez’s competition to be justified.
According to a rule made before high school competitions, a transgender person shares the medal placement with the person or people behind them.
For example, Hernandez, who won the high jump with a score of 170, stood on the highest podium with two girls, even though they had more falls.
So the gold medals were awarded to the top three according to the rules.
– Sharing the podium was just an honor. Even though he’s gotten quite a bit of negative publicity, I think he deserves the publicity because he’s a superstar. He’s a rock star. He represents what he is, the fellow competitor said.
