Michael Schumacher’s confidant made a sad revelation
The health of the seven-time Formula One champion is kept strictly secret, but from time to time, allegations about “Schum”‘s well-being pop up in the public eye.
The British tabloid The Sun has published new information about Michael Schumacher, who won seven Formula 1 championships. The Daily Mail also reported on “Schumacher” and The Sun’s story.
Schumacher lives at his home on Lake Geneva in Switzerland, where he is being cared for by his wife Corinna and doctors. It has been 12 years since his skiing accident in 2013, but the German has not been in the public eye himself in that time.
Reporter Craig Scarborough said Schumacher’s confidant revealed new information to him about the ex-formula star.
“I spoke to someone who is very, very close to him. He explained to me that we don’t hear from him directly anymore,” Scarborough said.
Schumacher hit his head on a rock in a skiing accident and suffered a serious brain injury. After a long coma, he was transferred to home care.
– He is in as good a situation as is possible in the current mess, Scarborough continued.
Memories
Schumacher’s former team boss, Flavio Briatore, who is currently the Alpine team boss, recently commented on his former driver’s situation to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
– If I close my eyes, I can see him smiling after the win. I’d rather remember him that way than just thinking of him lying in bed.
According to the Daily Mail, Briatore’s ex-partner Elisabetta Gregoraci has also made revelations about Schumacher’s current condition.
“Michael doesn’t speak, he only communicates with his eyes. Only three people are allowed to visit him these days,” Gregorac is reported to have said.
