A different kind of luxury holiday – 6 impressive nature experience destinations in Finland

At these Finnish glamping destinations you can enjoy nature in luxurious conditions. We compared prices.

Luxury camping, or glamping, combines the peace of nature with modern amenities. Destinations vary in price and level of equipment.

1. Nolla Cabins, Tvijälpi Island in Espoo

The triangular Nolla cabins are equipped with a large panoramic window, from which you can enjoy beautiful nature views. The cabins are equipped with two beds, which can also be spread out as twin beds. The cabins have a heater and stove, as well as cooking utensils and dishes.

Tvijälpi Island is located off Espoo Westend, about a 20-minute boat ride from the mainland. The island’s nature is varied. There are rocky cliffs in the south, and lush forests in the north. The terrain is steep, so it can be difficult for people with reduced mobility to get around.

The daily price of the cottage varies between 167 euros and 217 euros.

2. Haltiala Lake Lodge, Nuuksio

Haltiala Lake Lodge’s luxury tents are equipped with high-quality beds, down duvets and pillows. The tents have heating, air conditioning, a waterless indoor toilet, a small fridge, a kettle and a terrace. Pets are also welcome in the tents.

The tents are located in the forest 50–150 meters from the Haltiala Lake Lodge Hotel. The hotel’s services are available to campers. The glamping tents are not accessible.

Haltiala Lake Lodge is located approximately 35 minutes’ drive from Helsinki city center or Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

The basic price for a two-person glamping tent is 259 euros per night. The price includes breakfast and morning sauna.

3. Lootholma yurt, Kustavi

Kustavi Lootholma’s bohemian yurt tents can accommodate four people. Each yurt has a 140-centimeter-wide double bed and a sofa bed. Amenities also include a refrigerator and electric heating. There is a terrace in front of the yurts where you can enjoy the sea view. The yurts are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Pets cannot be brought to Lootholma’s yurt.

Daily rentals of yurt tents start at 95 euros.

4. Finndome, Pori

The FinnDome glamping area is located in Ruosniemi, about a five-minute drive from the center of Pori. The area has five spacious dome tents, each with a double bed and a table and chairs for two. For larger groups, it is possible to get an extra bed in the tent for a fee. Some of the tents have a transparent section, from which it is possible to admire the Kukkulankallio pond and the starry sky at night.

Guests also have access to a kitchen, barbecue area and free parking. The surrounding area offers hiking trails and forest trails for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels.

The terrain in the area is varied, so it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Daily prices for dome tents start at 139 euros.

5. Lumous forest lodge, Hankasalmi

Located on a rocky slope, in the shelter of the forest, the Lumous cottage has a panoramic window overlooking Lake Haukilampi. The cottage is furnished with two comfortable beds, a small table and two chairs.

In the courtyard of the accommodation there is a traditional wooden sauna, connected to which is a cooking shelter. There is also a campfire site in the yard, where you can prepare food using the cooking utensils included in the cottage. A nature trail leads from the cottage to the beach, which is suitable for swimming. There is also a large pier with swimming stairs on the beach. Because the terrain is uneven, it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Cottage prices start at 199 euros per day.

6. Söderlångvik Glamping

A new glamping area opened in mid-May in the Söderlångvik Manor area, by the Örudden Sea.

There are five luxury tents, each with two beds. It is also possible to get a spare mattress and a baby cot for the tents. Each tent has electricity and is also equipped with a fridge, a radiator, an armchair and a table. There is a terrace and sun loungers in front of the tents.

About 300 meters from the tents is a sauna, the design of which combines traditional Finnish sauna and Japanese style. The garden surrounding the sauna is inspired by a Japanese garden.

In the nearby Örudden forest, you can admire four of the Sammaljätti sculptures by artist Kim Simonsson. Söderlångvik Manor was previously the summer residence of cultural patron and businessman Amos Andersson.

The prices of glamping tents in Söderlångvik are 150–170 euros depending on the time of year. The sauna is available to campers for an additional fee. It is also possible to order a breakfast basket for the tent, which includes, among other things, Söderlångvik Manor’s own apple juice.
