79-year-old darts legend Bobby George keeps his amputated toe at home, in his 18-room mansion.
The English showman has had a total of four toes amputated due to a genetic condition, one of which he was allowed to keep. The first amputation took place 26 years ago.
George says in his new book Still Here! The King of Bling that not many people believe in toelessness until he takes off his socks.
Still Here! The King of Bling
– Before the amputation, the pain was so bad that if I had had a sharp enough knife, I would have cut them (the toes) myself, says the darts star in his book.
The darts legend is not upset about the situation, but is happy to be free from his pain.
– Losing four toes isn’t as bad as it sounds, even though I look like an alien with my bare feet.
Varpaa has a special place in George’s mansion, namely in his own home bar.
– Every time someone comes to my bar, I stick out my toe and ask if they can have a regular drink or a toe drink.
Bobby George is one of the most famous figures in the darts world. He won several major tournaments during his career and became known for his explosive personality. Today, the 79-year-old Englishman has made his mark in his country as a TV presenter.
