Snow is falling again in Poland

The Polish national football team is in the midst of chaos.

The Polish national football team suffered another setback just a day before the World Cup qualifier against Finland.

The team’s new captain, Piotr ZieliÅ„ski, was injured during training at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Monday evening, according to Polish broadcaster TVP.

According to TVP, the 31-year-old midfielder was forced to leave training due to a calf injury. Zieliński walked off the field grimacing and supported by a guardian. The seriousness of the situation immediately raised concerns within the team.

According to initial estimates, it is unlikely that he will play in Tuesday’s match.

ZieliÅ„ski was not involved in Friday’s practice game against Moldova, but at the time it was believed that he was just resting for the more important match against Finland.

The injury is a major blow to an already struggling Poland. The country’s superstar Robert Lewandowski announced on Sunday night that he will not play for the national team as long as head coach Michal Probierz remains in charge.

The match starts on Tuesday at 9:45 PM.
