A detached house was destroyed in a fire in Vantaa
There were no injuries in the single-family home fire, but according to the fire chief, almost nothing was left of the house.
A detached house burned down and became uninhabitable in Rekola, Vantaa, on Thursday.
The fire caused no injuries. The resident was not at home at the time of the fire, but was outside with his dogs, says Jouni Savolainen, fire chief of the Central Uusimaa Rescue Department.
The rescue service received a report of a building fire after 5pm on Thursday afternoon. At 7:30pm, Savolainen reported that the fire had been extinguished.
According to Savolainen, the rescue service will remain at the scene to ensure that the fire is definitely out.
The situation does not cause any harm to nearby buildings or people.
