Now the hammer is flying – Silja Kosonen and Krista Tervo in a tough competition
The traditional hammer carnival will take place in Kaustinen on Friday.
The current hammer carnival in Kaustinen is on target. Finland’s top throwers Krista Tervo and Silja Kosonen are throwing a convincing series.
Kosonen leads the competition with a score of 74.82 and Tervo, who is in second place, had a best throw of 74.53 meters.
The competition is still ongoing.
Kosonen threw 73.21 at the Paavo Nurmi Games and Tervo threw 74.59 in the same competition.
Tervo broke the Finnish record this season at the Lahti Motonet GP in June. He threw 77.14.
In the men’s hammer throw event held before the women’s competition, Henri Liipola won with a score of 74.02. The result is the top domestic result of the season.
