The Finnish men’s national volleyball team won the European Golden League.
Finland defeated the Czech Republic, who played as the home team, 3–1 in the final.
This is Finland’s first Golden League victory.
The Czech Republic took the first set 26–24, but the blue and whites managed to turn the match around.
Finland won the second set with the same score of 26–24. The third set was clearly Finland’s, with the score being 25–15.
The home crowd in Brno encouraged the Czech Republic to fight, and the opponent made the fourth set tough for Finland.
The fourth set was evenly matched. In the end, Finland celebrated the victory when the Czech Republic bowed out 25–23.
With their final victory, Finland took home a prize pool of 100,000 euros.
The bronze medal in the tournament was won by Israel, who defeated Greece earlier on Sunday.
