Max Verstappen fucked – Source: Red Bull close to extreme solution

The Red Bull bosses have reached their limit.

Red Bull F1 team boss Christian Horner is close to being fired, the GPBlog website reports, citing inside sources.

The situation at the top team has escalated significantly after Max Verstappen made a mistake and finished fifth in the British Grand Prix on Sunday. The Dutchman’s championship dreams are pretty much over.

GPBlog reports that Horner could soon leave – either voluntarily or by force.

There is reportedly a lot of strife and mistrust within the Red Bull team. According to some sources, Horner has already gained too much power in the team after Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz died in 2022.

Verstappen is not on good terms with Horner and reportedly wants him to leave the team. That may be necessary if Red Bull wants to keep its star driver next season.

According to GPBlog, the team manager himself fears for his job. The sacking is described as “closer than ever”.

Verstappen is currently third in the Drivers’ Championship, 69 points behind leader Oscar Piast. Red Bull is only fourth in the Manufacturers’ Championship.
