A shocking end to Camilla Richardsson’s race – news of her death awaited her at the finish line
The Finnish star conveyed her condolences.
Camilla Richardsson participated in an endurance running competition on Thursday, in which one of the athletes died.
The race took place in Switzerland, near Zurich International Airport. According to the race organizer, the 47-year-old man had died just before the finish line.
– It was really sad to hear after the race that one of the runners passed away. My deepest condolences to his family and friends, Richardsson wrote on Instagram the next day.
According to the race organizers’ report, rescue personnel had immediately assisted the collapsed man, but he had not been saved despite first aid.
Richardsson participated in the 17-kilometer race in Zurich. He ran a time of 58:32.6, which was a new course record.
– I’m happy with this development. Improvement is coming slowly but surely, the runner said.
