A tough deal for Mikael Granlund! The club is changing

The Finnish player is moving from the Dallas Stars to the Anaheim Ducks.

For Finnish hockey player Mikael Granlund, quick moves are spectacular: the man is moving to play for the Anaheim Ducks.

The Anaheim Ducks say Granlund has signed a three-year contract with Anaheim, covering the 2027–2028 season.

According to NHL reporter Elliotte Friedman, Granlund’s salary will be a staggering 7 million euros per season.

Back in June, TSN’s listing predicted that Granlund’s salary would increase more modestly next season, to around $5.3 million. Last season, Granlund earned around $5 million.

Granlund has been in high demand in NHL circles. The man played a great season in the NHL, representing both the San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars. In a total of 83 regular season games, Granlund’s performance was 22+44=66.

Granlund joined the Dallas Stars mid-season in February of this year. As a forward for the Stars, Granlund scored 5+5=10 in 18 playoff games. The Dallas Stars would have liked to keep the man, but according to inside information, his price tag seemed too high.
