Aleksander Barkov gets a wild reception – Florida’s championship celebrations in full swing

The Florida Panthers’ championship parade is underway.

The Florida Panthers’ championship celebration is in full swing in Fort Lauderdale.

The reigning Stanley Cup champions started the parade on the roof of an open-top bus.

The players were welcomed by a crowd of several thousand people, who cheered for, among others, Finnish captain Aleksander Barkov.

– People love their captain, was written on the team’s X account.

Eetu Luostarinen exchanged shirts with a fan in the midst of the festivities. The Finn received a shirt with a picture of Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad in the exchange.

The Panthers won the Stanley Cup for the second year in a row, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4–2 in the finals.
