Alexander Ovechkin took off his shirt – The sight is amazing
The Russian player’s photo got the mockers going.
A photo of Russian superstar Alexander Ovechkin, 39, was released on Wednesday, in which the man poses shirtless.
The photo was shared on Instagram by Bleacher Report. In the comments of the publication, hockey fans mock the man’s appearance.
– Imagine, if he took his health and training seriously, he would probably score two thousand goals, one commenter wrote.
– I thought these were a bunch of retired players, laughed another.
– I thought that was just someone’s father, the commenter wondered
– He’s one of us! One fan joked.
Ovechkin is having a historic season in the NHL.
At the end of the regular season, he surpassed Wayne Gretzky to become the NHL’s all-time goal scorer. The Russian has scored a total of 897 goals in the regular season in his career.
Ovechkin, who turns 40 in the fall, has played for the Washington Capitals for 21 seasons. His current contract covers the upcoming season.
Off the field, Ovechkin has become known as a supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier this week, Ovechkin was nominated for ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Award, named after Muhammad Ali.
