Clothing giant rejected Finnish star
Nooralotta Neziri is no longer in the Puma camp.
– Unfortunately, my contract with Puma ended last year, Nooralotta Neziri reveals to Iltalehti.
He still received a new kit from the clothing giant for this season. Nezir’s deal with Puma lasted a total of four years.
– At the moment I am, so to speak, unsigned, meaning I don’t have an equipment agreement with anyone, Neziri says.
unsigned
Did Puma end the collaboration because you were no longer running top times?
– Yes, I believe that was at least partly the reason.
A week ago, Neziri ran the 100m hurdles in under 13 seconds for the first time in almost five years.
Bonus
Neziri does not disclose the amounts of money from his sponsorship deals, which often consist of different things.
– They vary quite a bit depending on the athlete, but usually the cooperation agreement includes a small amount of base money, on top of which a bonus system is built. Bonuses can be received for certain times or positions, for example.
base money
Neziri didn’t get to enjoy the bonus money too much during his years at Puma.
– Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to compete in any of the seasons due to injuries at Puma.
Before Puma, she was in the clothing giant Nike camp for no less than 11 years. During that time, the woman set, among other things, her own record of 12.81, which was also a Finnish record at the time.
In return for basic salary and bonuses, the athlete reciprocally advertises the brand’s clothing on social media, for example, and performs at representative events.
– I also made advertising images for Puma and was involved in some events.
