Kasperi Kapanen: A harsh fate

The Edmonton Oilers’ starting goalie survived.

Kasperi Kapanen, 28, who started the Stanley Cup Finals very brightly, is on the sidelines of Edmonton’s lineup, reports NHL reporter Bob Stauffer on the X news service.

He published the Oilers’ morning ice cream chain compositions, which, according to the reporter’s observations, Kapanen is not in.

The Finn’s place in the Oilers’ lineup will be taken by the Swede Viktor Arvidsson, who sat out the last game.

Kapanen had a phenomenal start to the finals series, assisting on two Oilers goals in a 4–3 home win.

After this, the Kuopio native’s performances have fluctuated. His ice time in the games played in Florida was low, which is largely explained by special situations.

Panthers’ home games saw a lot of penalties, and Kapanen doesn’t play with an over or under power.

According to Stauffer, Calvin Pickard made the Oilers’ 5th save in the finals.

The fifth final will be played next night at 3:00 PM Finnish time.
