The Finnish speed skater had a great time!

Vilma Mäki broke the magical 13-second mark.

Finnish athlete Vilma Mäki made a spectacular breakthrough in the 100-meter hurdles on Wednesday at the Lappeenranta Marching Championships.

The 23-year-old sprinter stopped the clocks in the preliminary heat with a time of 12.88. He improved his record significantly and broke the magical 13-second mark for the first time in his career.

The previous record, 13.07, went down in history in a fast-paced preliminary round. Mäki was relieved and happy after his run.

– A successful run. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, Mäki said in a press release from the Finnish Sports Association after the race.
