The Tikkurila church café is a haven for families with children

Lauran Kaffila, located in Tikkurila Church, is modeled after a church café. It feels like a living room where everyone is welcome.

A church café is not a particularly widely practiced form of entrepreneurship. However, it has been well taken up in the Tikkurila church.

Laura, who runs a lunch restaurant in Helsinki, erected Laura’s Kaffila, which bears her own name, in 2021, at the same time as the new church in Tikkurila was completed. The old church, completed in 1956, was replaced by a bright and light brick building, where Kaffila sits – in keeping with the theme – like a cross on the wall.
